Outage reported in Mankato

MANKATO — About 800 of Xcel Energy's Mankato customers were experiencing a power outage Wednesday in the early afternoon after a driller bored into a feeder cable near Madison and Belle avenues at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday.

Crews were on the scene and expected to have power restored by 2:45 p.m.

Lights were back on for all 805 customers affected at 2:19 p.m., less than an hour after the outage, an Xcel spokesman said.
